Discover “Italian Museums”, the application of the Italian Ministry of Culture which provides users with information on the cultural places of the national museum system and allows the purchase of entrance tickets!
The application puts online information in English and Italian on 406 Italian museums and archaeological parks, geo-localizing their position in relation to the visitor and giving access to a digital ticketing platform, without intermediation costs, created for those sites that until now did not offer this service.
Available to the download free of charge on the main platforms, the tool has been tested over the last year on a growing number of museums, starting from the launch of ticketing for entry to the Pantheon and to date it has been used to issue over 3 million tickets.
It will be progressively extended to all state public museums and made available for places of culture administered by local authorities, universities, dioceses or privately owned, with the aim of making it the privileged access portal to the network of almost 4,900 Italian museums !
