A Dichiarazione di valore (Declaration of Value) is a declaration whereby the Consular office confirms the value of the qualifications obtained in Bahrain. It is drawn up in Italian.
Please note that obtaining a D.O.V. may require up to 30 days. Submit your application at least a month before your deadline.
Basic Requirements to apply for D.O.V.
- You have an high school diploma or a university degree.
You have successfully completed your education cycle and the school or university has awarded you an high school diploma or a degree.
- Your diploma or degree was obtained in Bahrain and authenticated by Bahrain authorities by means of an apostille.
D.O.V. for high school diploma – Documents Checklist
In order to obtain a Dichiarazione di Valore for qualifications attained in Bahrain you have to submit:
- Application form (avaliable here), duly completed and signed;
- Photocopy of valid passport;
- Certified Copy of the Diploma, legalized by means of an Apostille
- Certified Copy of the Statements of Results, legalised by means of MOFA’s Apostille
- Certified translation of the diploma into Italian
- Certified translation of the statement of results into Italian
- Acceptance letter from Italian university, if applicable
D.O.V. for university degree – Documents Checklist
- Application form (avaliable here), duly completed and signed;
- Photocopy of valid passport;
- Certified Copy of the university degree, legalized by means of an Apostille
- Certified Copy of the statement of records, legalised by means of MOFA’s Apostille
- Certified translation of the university degree into Italian
- Certified translation of the statement of records into Italian
- Acceptance letter from Italian university, if applicable

Procedure for certified translation
Step 1: The document shall be translated into Italian. Here is a list of translation companies for your reference. You may choose among any translation company operating in Bahrain.
Step 2: translation shall be stamped by a private notary (notarization). You may choose among any legal company operating this service in Bahrain.
Step 3: the translation stamped by the notary shall be legalized by means of MOFA’s Apostille.
