The Italian Embassy in Manama is pleased to present, in collaboration with BACA, the exhibition “DIVA! Italian Glamor in Fashion Jewelry” on display at the National Museum of the Kingdom of Bahrain from 17th November until 11th December 2021.
The exhibition, curated by Professor Alba Cappellieri, professor of the Politecnico di Milano and Director of the Jewelry Museum of Vicenza, will showcase a wonderful repertoire of more than 200 pieces of Italian jewelry, from the years of La Dolce Vita, through the Pret-a-Porter of the 80s, the minimalism of the 90s to the neo-baroque of the new millennium. The exhibition wants to tell us the story of Italian fashion jewelry and wants to pay tribute to Italian creativity and manufacturing, art and technology, beauty and innovation.
Last but not least, on the 18 of November at 10.30 am at the Centre for Italian Culture “Grazia Deledda” at the Royal University for Women, we will host a lecture titled: “Italian Fashion Jewelry” about the Made in Italy in the jewelry sector, by Dr. Susanna Testa, PhD in Design and Assistant Professor at the Department of Design at Politecnico of Milano, designer and illustrator.
