The European Multi Mission Frigate (FREMM) Carabiniere, fitted with latest generation technology based on state-of-the-art standards, stops in Bahrain from 23rd to 26th April 2017. After conducting a variety of missions, including maritime surveillance, counter-terrorism and counter-piracy activities, the ship is now conducting a campaign aimed at strengthening the on-going cooperation with several regional allies, including Bahrain, and promoting dialogue, cooperation and maritime capacity building.
On the occasion of the presence of the frigate in Manama, Admiral Donato Marzano, Commander of the Italian Fleet, is paying a visit to Bahrain to explore further cooperation between the two countries.
