The Italian Embassy in Manama informs that the current circumstances have prevented the mailing of electoral packages to eligible voters, as required by Law No. 459 of December 27, 2001, “Rules for the Exercise of the Right to Vote by Italian Citizens Residing Abroad.”
Voters in Italy will be able to exercise their right to vote at the Municipality where they registered to vote, even if they did not submit the appropriate option within the legally required timeframe. This is in accordance with the current regulations on voting abroad and the relevant ministerial instructions. We therefore encourage interested voters to visit their Municipality in the days leading up to the election to verify their electoral status.
Voters in Bahrain may request their electoral package by sending an email to consolare.manama@esteri.it and picking it up at this Embassy starting Wednesday, March 11, security permitting.
