Concert: Italian Opera Arias and Songs

The Italian Embassy in Bahrain in collaboration with the Shaikh Ebrahim Center for Culture and Research has organized an Opera concert by Italian Soprano Laura Baldassari and pianist Sabrina Avantario on December 13 at the Sheikh Ibrahim Center Auditorium in Muharraq.
Laura is a Milano based Soprano who started her Opera studies at the age of 18 and her career is long and full of accolades.
Sabrina is an Italian pianist, vocal coach, language coach, chef de chant at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. She is considered to be an expert in Mozart, Rossini and the Italian repertoire in general.
Laura and Sabrina have performed some aria, song, and some piano solo.
Opera (Italian word that means work) was born in Italy and its origins are rooted back to the beginning of the seventeen century in Florence and carry with them all the History and Culture of Italy.
The program of the evening is a journey through some of the most famous arias of the Italian opera tradition, from the end of the 1700 with Mozart, through the romantic Italian Bel Canto of the 1800 with Rossini and Donizetti and until the first decades of the 1900 with Puccini and Tosti.
