VISIT TO BAHREIN OF THE ITALIAN UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS, HON. PICCHI

The Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Guglielmo Picchi, paid a visit to Manama to lead the Italian delegation to the World Heritage Committee, which led, among other things, to the inclusion of the city of Ivrea in the list of UNESCO heritage sites. On this occasion, Hon. Picchi had a friendly meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, focused on the prospects for deepening bilateral relations, also in view of the opening of the Embassy of Bahrain in Italy, and on main regional issues.
